Things can get pretty crazy here at UCR. If you're a typical first year student, you've got a lot going on. From your schoolwork and relationships to budgeting your time and money. From trying to plan your career to just trying to plan your day. It can all get pretty overwhelming.
But at UCR, we want you to succeed. In every aspect of your life. So we've created The First Year Success Series (FYSS) - a series of workshops and seminars designed to guide you through all of the first year chaos.

The Art of Breaking the Ice- Want an opportunity to meet new people, or feel that it is hard to branch out and meet new groups of people? Come to the mixer at the WELL and meet a lot of other UCR students interested in many different topics and mostly interested in making new friends
Sure Fire Success - This workshop shop will insure you have a successful first year at UCR. Lear about the different resources that UCR has to offer from the Career Center to the cultural offices and everything in between. Take a walk with a campus tour guide and ask any and every question you may have to make sure you have the best first year possible.
Have Goal, Will Travel - Setting goals and objectives is the surest way to maintain purpose in life and keep yourself from wasting time. Even if your goal changes, you'll always be headed somewhere. Don't get lost! Take control and map your route to success!
